This is a 3 day in-house course for those sitting the Final FRCA Exam. The course involve SBA practice in surgery, medicine, clinical measurement, critical care medicine and pain management. All SBAs will be analysed and answers will be discussed. This course provides an excellent opportunity to learn the techniques of answering and writing structured answers for CRQs.
The format includes three components:
CRQ component:
CRQ sessions are grouped in to various subspecialties so that all important topics are covered. Tutors have reviewed the previous exam papers and have selected key CRQs on the allocated topics. Each session lasts approximately 90 minutes. You will have 45 minutes to write the answers to four questions. (In the exam you will get 15 minutes per question). Over another 45 the tutor will present the answer.
SBA components:
Each SBA session consists of 30 SBA on allocated topics. Again each session will have 90 minutes. You will have 45 minutes to answer SBA followed by presentation of correct answers with explanation and discussion by the tutors.
Access to presentations on the course until the date of the Final FRCA written exam.
