Coventry FRCS (Trauma & Orthopaedics) Basic Science Course

Friday 24ᵗʰ April 2026
Clinical Sciences Building (CSB), University Hospitals Coventry & Warwickshire (UHCW),Clifford Bridge Road, CV2 2DX

This one-day FRCS-focused Basic Science course is designed to help candidates perform confidently in the Basic Science viva station of the FRCS (Trauma & Orthopaedics) examination.

The course focuses on high-yield, exam-relevant applied basic science topics that are frequently tested in the FRCS exam but are often poorly covered or inconsistently taught during routine training.

The course is aimed at Orthopaedic trainees, Fellows and SAS doctors preparing for the FRCS (Tr & Orth) examination.

Exam-going trainees will find the course extremely beneficial, as it focuses on recently tested FRCS exam topics. It will provide clear, practical guidance on what to say and how to structure answers in the Basic Science viva station.

Earlier-stage trainees will also benefit from being taught how these topics commonly appear in the FRCS exam, helping them become well-versed in exam-relevant applied basic sciences early in their training.

Course Fee
